Girl at the front taking our order had no personality, other than that this is a great choice. Salmon Caesar was awesome, veggie club was super. Service was quick. While we were there, they double made an order. I wonder how things like that affect the bottom line.

Newks doesn't usually suck but this location can't seem to get its head out of its butt. This particular store is lackluster and usually serves undercooked food. This time I got the seafood Provencal which for a soup had awfully dry and chewy "seafood" if you can call it that. Something akin to what kitty would expect for dinner. My friend ordered a veggie pizza and in the words of Gordon Ramsay "ITS RAW"! 0/10 won't be eating here again. I'd rather spend my time licking sidewalks.

Got into Little Rock late after a 2 1/2 hour delay, so wanted something quick and relatively healthy. Newk's is where Shorty Smalls used to be on Warden in North Little Rock, so I wanted to see what they did to the building. Gone is the ramshackle looking family restaurant, and in it's place a modern looking fast-casual design. Ordered at the cashier and sat down. The food was delivered soon and piping hot! Had some chicken tortilla soup and the ultimate salad. It met my expectations and I had enough to take back to the hotel as leftovers. I'm sure their sandwiches and pizzas are similar in quality. Good for a change of pace, will repeat when I'm visiting Little Rock again.

So before I loved this place. I became a vegetarian and now this place sucks. I ordered the veggie club and it is awful. Its like they felt like they needed a vegetarian sandwich and threw everything that wasn't meat on it and checked the proverbial box but forgot to taste it. I understand they are good at the meat sandwiches but come on, don't sell yourself as a healthy sandwich and salad shop if you can't cater to vegetarians...

Highlights of our visit: Great food. Nice, ambient atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. My husband and I visited Newk's for dinner this past evening. It was my first time dining here, so I was not exactly sure of what to expect. Overall, our experience was very pleasant and the food was delicious! The service was very fast and the staff was courteous and friendly. The atmosphere in the main dining-room is very welcoming and relaxed and the music that was playing in the background was enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised by the condiment bar! Definitely give it a try. Onto the food: it was delectable. The portion of my cobb salad was the most generous one I have had to date. In other terms, it filled a huge bowl! I was only able to finish half of it and I arrived very, very hungry. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, which is imperative for a great salad. My husband ordered the Italian Specialty Sandwich. I had a bite of it and it was great as well. The amount of meat on this sandwich was quite impressive and the mix of flavors was incredible! I am not an avid fan of spicy food that sets your taste buds on fire and was fairly concerned about the spicy Creole mustard, but it gave the sandwich just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. We did not order dessert, but the display of their cakes did look very appetizing.

If you're going for the salad, skip this one. On Sunday afternoon, the salads were not dressed well, came tossed when we ordered "on the side", and, lots of tables unbussed.

Had the beef sandwich without the spicy mustard and a side of pasta salad. It was great. Very clean place and the staff are very efficient and nice.

This was my first visit and sorry to say that I didn't have a chance to pop back in before leaving town. I had the black and bleu salad and it was delicious, not to mention the largest salad I've ever been served. Everything was so fresh and crisp. The service was fast and and the staff was friendly. Fan of the large to go cup too!

Meh - I've had better, I've had worse. Some positives: 1) Great location in NLR, right off I-40 and near the mall. 2) Clean, nice decor. Friendly employees. 3) Quick service! Would make for a good lunch spot when time is of the essence. The food is just alright. I had the "spicy chicken pizza" - which wasn't very spicy, or that good in my opinion. It tasted as if it were maybe frozen ahead of time? The rest of our party tried Newk's "Q" sandwiches (Newk's white BBQ sauce, grilled chicken breast, Applewood smoked bacon and Swiss cheese) and soup. They liked their meals. Literally...A-OK.

I went back again the other night and tried one of their pizzas, specifically the deluxe pizza. These are not "traditional" style pizzas, but are "California" style, single-serving pizzas with a crispy flatbread type crust. How was it? In one word - spectacular! I'm already planning my next visit!

Cross Country Drivers, perfect pit-stop for a healthy quick lunch or dinner. Minutes off I-40 and easy to find. Service was great and fast- best of all, delicious food! Recommend Newk's Favorite salad and whichever soup you're in the mood for....big plastic to-go cups too!

Enjoyed the food and service here. I had a tasty Reuben with an awfully small bag of potato chips. I would have lunch here again.

Looking for a salad/soup place and came across this one. It's just like Panera Bread, Atlanta Bread and St Louis Bread companies, but it serves pizzas. Went with the white bean chicken chili (sound familiar Ruby Tuesday?) and a 1/2 sandwich. I pretty much went head over heels for the chili, just chunks of chicken (you loose Ruby Tuesday) and the only thing wrong was that I went with a small bowl. Had the shrimp Po boy and when I was looking , the shrimp were more towards the cocktail instead of deep fried, some thing new. Overall not a bad place and since I'm down here for few more weeks, I can say that we'll see that chili again.

I took my first trip to Newks the other day. I didn't know what to expect but was quite surprised how good it was. The menu was much larger than I expected. You order at the door and sit down with a number. They bring the food to your table and you refill your own drinks. I had a sandwich that was very good. My only complaint was the portion size. I'm a big guy that likes a lot of food. So I wasn't quite full but it tasted great. My wife however ordered a salad that was huge. She could have fed an Army with the size of it. Overall a great place and I will likely return in the future!

First time to visit Newk's tonight. It is in the location where Shorty's Smalls used to be on Warden Road in NLR. Food was good, Service was fast. I had the Italian Sub. I particularly liked the Round Table of complimentary condiments and other add-ons. I will go back.

Service was excellent. I had never been there and Mercedes met me and tutored me how to order. I had a giant shrimp salad!!!! What a deal. So fresh. I will certainly come back hear and try one of their sandwiches. There iced tea was excellent too.

I recently stopped in for an early lunch just as they were opening for the day. It was my first visit and the staff quickly greeted me and walked me through the choices. I accepted one of the salad recommendations and was very happy with it. I was on a tight schedule and had to leave quickly but am surely looking forward to being back in the area to spend more time.
